  
Basic Fire Safety
A two-hour course to introduce to your staff the principles of fire safety and
prevention, the action to take in case of a fire and the practical use of
portable fire extinguishers. This course is suitable for all staff and no
previous experience or training is required.
Fire Training

Maximum number of trainees: 20
- Introduction - A brief outline, and the
objectives of training.
- Action to be taken on discovery of
fire.
- Action to be taken on hearing the fire
alarm.
- Demonstration to emphasise the pressure in
extinguishers and their operation.
- Demonstration of all extinguishers - to include
the position of user and correct application.
- Trainees will discharge at least two types of
extinguisher "hands on".

Video.
- The fire triangle, ignition and spread of fire
and types of fire.
- Portable Fire Extinguishers - Types of
extinguisher, suitability for fire risk, siting of extinguishers.
- Video - extinguisher demonstration.
- Portable Fire Extinguishers - Practical
demonstration on live fires, including fire blanket.
- Questions and Answers.
- Conclusion.
